accompanied by State Councillor François Longchamp,
who until then was president of the foundations that own Geneva Palexpo,
and by State Chancellor Robert Hensler, who is set to chair the
Board of Directors of our future joint stock company –

Palexpo approaches the curve of the 21st century in pole position
I am pleased and proud to be taking up the position of
chairman of the Board of Directors of the future
entity Palexpo SA, to which the State Council has
appointed me, and thus to become the head of the
team of 130 professionals working under the
responsibility of Mr. Claude Membrez, General
Manager. Palexpo is as necessary to the economy of
the Franco-Vaud-Geneva region as, for example,
Geneva International Airport or the Free Port are.
It is a tool that is indispensable for a dynamic,
outward-looking economic policy.
